Jim co-founded
TOFCON construction with John O'Farrell, a prior rival at PCL Construction,
in April 2000. Jim brings a wealth of industry experience to this company.
Jim was introduced to Ellis-Don Construction as part of an 8 month
co-op term, a requirement for the Construction Engineering Technology
Management program at Fanshawe College of Applied Arts and Technology
in London, Ontario. Given the success of this placement, full time employment
with Ellis-Don Construction commenced the week he graduated.
Ellis-Don was a great learning experience that saw Jim stationed in
Ottawa, Kingston, London (head office) and Toronto. The various locations
and projects enabled him to work with and learn from some of the best
construction people in the country. Some notable projects that Jim has
worked on include:

After leaving Ellis-Don Construction in 1995 and prior to TOFCON, he
undertook long term contracts on a consulting basis with a client list
that included Revay and Associates, Nortel, Stentor SCNM and Bell. Some
